This holiday is a very low budget summer holiday for all ages over 9! We want to democratise adventure! Immersing ourselves in nature and pushing ourselves to the edge of our comfort zone connects us with ourselves and the people around us in a very special way. Chamonix, The French Alps is THE Mecca for Adventure Sports! The landscape is stunning.

This trip is an Outdoor Immersion – perfect for people who like to try new things… Perfect for anyone who wants a blast of Adventure – for students, solo travellers, groups of friends or Mums & Dads of active teenagers want a few days off cooking!  If you are over 12 people, we can run this trip any time from June to September and can completely customise each day.

All the trips are run in partnership with a secluded French Outdoor Centre near Vallorcine, Chamonix. It is run by UIAGM mountain guides who lead all the trips so you are in the best possible hands.

We are not talking cordon blue but basic french mountain cuisine. Just what you need after an active day on the hill! Breakfast is cereal, bread, local organic jams and juice.

Lunch is a big picnic, with a sandwich, chips, snacks and fruit.

Dinner is a two course meal.

Vegetarians can be happily catered for and we will do our best with any dietary requirements.

Getting here, Location and Local Transport:

Train

If travelling alone, the best mode of travel is by train. Head to Saint Gervais, France…or Martigny, Switzerland. There is an hourly local train that runs between those stations and stops off right outside our Outdoor Centre. Get the best deals by booking directly with Eurostar and the SNCF 3 months in advance.

Self Drive

If you are a large group, coming from Europe, the cheapest option is to drive. It will cost around £450 all in – tolls, ferry or eurotunnel, and fuel from the UK. It should take around 9 hours to drive from Dover, Kent to Vallorcine, France.

Flights

If you fly, head to Geneva Airport and then get a transfer. Alpy bus charge €19 per trip per person to Argentiere (ask them if they can take you over the col to Vallorcine.)  Book flights as early as possible! If you hire a car, make sure it is from the SWISS side.
