The Family Adventure, Alps

Our  Family Adventure Holiday is an active family holiday designed for families with children from 4 to 16 who love the outdoors. Single parent families are very welcome. We visit canyons, lakes, waterfalls, and a National Park, go donkey trekking and white water rafting. There is plenty of time to swim in a lake (if you are hardy!), horse ride,  parapent and do a ropes course in the trees!

There are 4 fully organized days and a couple of days to be on your own with the family. On the first day we do a gentle warm up walk from the chalet to Lac Blue where we can swim in the Lake, trampoline, do a thrilling high ropes course in the trees and have a picnic. The next day, we hike to ‘The End of the World’ in view of one of the natural wonders of France. We bathe under a waterfall and spot Ibex. Tuesday and Wednesday are family days when you do your own thing.  You may want to do something extreme like canyonning or parapenting, or  just take it easy… lounge around the pool in the garden, have a jazuzzi or sauna.  On Thursday we take our picnics and  hike up to a mountain refuge with Zebulon our donkey friend and spend a memorable night in a cosy refuge at over 2000 metres. The air is crystal clear and the views and energy spectacular.

If Dad or Mum are really in need of their own holiday, one of you can always opt in to our Outdoor Fitness Camp or Yoga week and catch up with the family for lunch. (If you want to mix and match, there is a £120 supplement for the 2 hour daily fitness camp and £60 for the  daily 1.5 hour yoga classes).

Your Family Adventure host, Saskia set up La Source in 2008 and is a  Yoga teacher, mother of 2,  and was an Outward Bound Instructor for many years.
