The La Source Rock Climbing weeks are gaining a firm reputation for bringing together climbing and inspiration! With a high instructor to pupil ratio, we run weeks for climbers at all levels (from total beginners up to those leading 7a). The approach here is concerned with fluidity, balance and fun.
Moving over stone, not fighting against the rock is the key, to help with this concept; optional morning yoga classes are an idea warm up to the day on the crag.
Under the careful watch of our chosen instructors you will enjoy real progress on the rock. During the week you will gain focus, balance and mental and physical strength.
You’ll be staying in a designer sustainable, low energy renovated farm, eating balanced organic vegetarian food. Your hosts are TV presenter and ex-pro climber Duncan McCallum and yogini and personal development coach, Saskia Anley. You’ll spend 5 full days rock climbing at different crags; learning how to improve your climbing, technical and rope skills. There is one rest day where you can take advantage of the hiking, white water rafting, parapenting or simply rest!
We split our camps into an advanced and a beginner’s to leading camp. They run simultaneously and we have a coach/instructor for each group.
Who is it for?
For people who love sport/trad climbing and want to improve their technique and leading skills. For indoor climbers who want to start climbing on real rock. For complete beginners who like the sound of staying in an eco-lodge, learning a new sport and spending the week outdoors in the Alps For couples with one climber and one non-climber (see the Summer Holiday for non-climbers) For people climbing up to 7a who want a reliable and compatible climbing partner during their week off. Trad/Natural gear instruction is available by arrangement during the week.
