Our Summer Family Adventure weeks will be running on the weeks of the 27th July and the 4th August, 2015. We will be staying at the original La Source Eco-Lodge, ‘The Best Eco-Lodge in the Alps’, The Guardian.
This is where La Source began! Saskia and her family bought this farm in 2006 and renovated it with a crew of wonderful builders from around the world. We started the day with yoga at 7am, worked hard all day, played hard; climbed and biked in the evenings, and we all cooked and ate together. The builders were craftsmen who believed in ecological design and the results were fantastic. We dubbed ourselves ‘The Commune’ and the many of the crew stayed on long after the building was open to the public, as chef, and hosts, and drivers.
We ran our holidays and retreats in the spirit of ‘The Commune’. Our guests became part of our extended family for the week and often came back a couple of times a season! The Guardian and Times ran articles on us, and we were the busiest chalet in the Valley with guests staying on long after the traditional summer and winter seasons had ended.
After 4 fantastic full-on years, the Eco-Lodge was sold to an English family. La Source, Green Adventure Retreats continues to run holidays and retreats from a range of fabulous Alpine venues. We rent the La Source, Eco-Lodge back for our Summer Family Adventures and it is wonderful to be back where it all began!
Our catered Family Adventure Week with yoga costs £685 per person and is suitable for children from 4 years old and up. Single parent and single children families are very welcome. We include 4-5 group activity days including rock climbing, white water rafting, waterfall swimming and an overnight trek to a mountain refuge for €107 for 12 and ups or €89 for under 12’s! Alternatively, you can just stay and eat with us and we’ll help you custom design your own activities.
